The Bank is committed to operate under the ethos of integrity, efficiency and transparency. The Central Bank of Belize Act (1982) stipulates the constitution and statutory responsibilities of the Board of Directors and provides for the appointment of the Governor and two Deputy Governors. The Governor is the Chief Executive Officer of the Bank and, subject to the general policy decisions of the Board, is responsible for leading the Bank to achieve its strategic goals and objectives.
