Central Bank of Belize Governor Kareem Michael attended the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank’s (ECCB) 40th Anniversary Global Conference in collaboration with the Central Banking Autumn Meetings in Saint Kitts and Nevis from 8-10 November 2023. The theme of the conference was Fit for the Times: Building Resilience and Embracing Innovation. The meetings targeted topics such as: Greening the Financial System, Fintech, Reserve Management and Central Bank Digital Currency. 

Governor Michael also participated in a panel discussion hosted by Editor in Chief of Central Banking Publications Christopher Jeffery along with Governor Richard Byles, Bank of Jamaica; Governor Ernest Addison, Bank of Ghana; and Governor Timothy Antoine, the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank.
