The Central Bank of Belize is celebrating its 40th anniversary. To mark the 40-year anniversary celebration, the Central Bank will be hosting a series of activities.

Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Hon. John Briceño, signed an Instrument of Appointment naming Mrs. Laetitia Solis-Murillo as Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Belize, with effect from 1 September 2022.

The Governor of the Central Bank of Belize advises that pursuant to section 26 of the Credit Unions Act, 2011, Chapter 314 of the Laws of Belize, the Board of Directors shall hold, or the Registrar shall call an annual or special general meeting of a credit union.

The Central Bank of Belize notifies the public that effective 1 March 2022, the Belize Bank Corporation Limited (BBCL) will cease to exist and will no longer operate as a participant bank in the national payment system.
